The ShiFen Theater Festival was borne of the desire to give Beijing audiences an opportunity to experience all the varieties of performance art and theater available in bite sized scenes of 10 minutes or less.  This event is entirely volunteer run and FREE!

Performances have included:
    -Traditional plays (from the UK, Canada, France, China and America) written by local playwrights,
    - Peking Opera performances, both traditional and contemporary adaptations
    - Modern dance by Chinese, American, Japanese and Mongolian artists
    - Comedy and Improv in English and Mandarin
    - Performance art pieces by Brazilian, German, Chinese and American artists
    - Musical performances by traditional Chinese artists as well as Broadway classics and abstract modern
